Free Speech?

Thomas has retired after an uproar over her recent remarks that Jews should ''get the hell out of Palestine'' and go home to ''Poland, Germany and America and everywhere else''.

Long career of White House favourite ends on sour note

While her comments have led to her retirement in the US, Helen Thomas would be a hero in the Middle East! Regardless of those comments, where do you draw the line on free speech? I guess if you are in the US, this would be when you become critical of Israel!

Spirited Performance

Francesca Schiavone became the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam title with a superb victory over Australia's Sam Stosur in the French Open final.

BBC Sport - Tennis - Italy's Francesca Schiavone wins French Open title

I must say it was one of the most exciting womens' finals I have ever watched! The Italian gave it her all and came up with a truly spirited performance. Point after point it was very well played from an underdog ranked 17 who beat the number 7 ranked player. A reminder to reach in for the champion in us!

Hard Luck Roger

"You move on," he said. "You move on to the grass and forget a little bit."

BBC Sport - Tennis - Roger Federer 'proud' of Grand Slam semi-final run

Hard luck Roger on French Open quarter final exit. Good luck on the grass court season. Let's hope the grass is greener!
